There are an array of different types of vacuum cleaners available on the market today. If you are like many consumers, you will be relieved to know that many models do not use vacuum cleaner bags. You will no longer need to fuss over changing that dirty vacuum bag for a clean one. It is so annoying when dust spills out of the bag as you empty it, or having to find lost items in the bag of dust that holds your precious items.

Vacuums that are bagless and come with replaceable filters are taking over the regular bagged vacuum market. These vacuums store dirt in a canister that can be emptied into the trash after vacuuming. These are easy to empty, as they can be taken off and put back on the vacuum quickly. The canister easily snaps back into place, and this is certainly much easier than fighting with those vacuum bags.

The bagless vacuums come with a filter, which are very easy to change. Luckily, they do not need changed often, unlike vacuum bags. If you are looking for a cordless model that also is bagless, there are several to choose from. These are great because there is no struggle with a cord or a bag, which can be difficult to put in a small space. The cordless bag-less vacuums offer the easy canister to dump and snap back in place, just as the corded ones do.

There are also now bagless vacuum cleaners that come with permanent filters. These are simple to use by the everyday customer. There is no need to change filters, or buy extras; the only thing that is needed is to empty the canister when it becomes full on the vacuum. The only disadvantage with these bagless vacuum cleaners is that they are much more expensive than the vacuum cleaners that have bags or replaceable filters. However, the life of this vacuum model may make it well worth the extra money, as you will not have to spend money on filters or vacuum bags.

With these vacuums now available on the market, it is very possible that one day vacuum bags will altogether be obsolete. The next generation may never use or even know what a vacuum bag is. It is likely that soon, the only vacuums that are going to be available are vacuums that are either bag-less or have permanent filters.

Upholstery Steam Cleaning

Having problems and getting tired of looking at your upholstered furniture? Longing for that brand new vibrant look and warm feeling again that your sofa and other furniture used to be? There comes a time when brand new look is not that vibrant anymore but, a bit of age and wear from spilt items or pet hair. What is the best way to get it clean again?

A solution that one should consider is upholstery steam cleaning. Upholstery steam cleaning is simply using steam cleaners to eliminate dirt by blasting it off. It is an absolute must for cat and dog owners. Keeping upholstery clean from dirt and dander will also help to keep it odor free.

Upholstery steam cleaning eradicate fleas, bed bugs, clean spills, bad pet odors on upholstery, draperies, bedding, and furniture. Less time-consuming and more efficient. It uses hot water under high pressure to eliminate dirt and a vacuum to dislodge the same. One such advancement in the industry that has seen dirt and slime which, is not eliminated manually. Steam cleaning is a powerful cleaning alternative for upholstery without the use of chemicals which can cause allergies, especially in small children.

Upholstery steam cleaners are much safer to use which uses the most steaming technology to remove the stains. Not only cleaning, but also disinfecting the upholstery at the same time using only non-toxic chemicals. Jetvac Pro is an ideal upholstery steam cleaner using either a steam vapour, vacuum and detergent injection depending on the required application for a better cleaning result.

The frequency for steam cleaning upholstery depends on how often you need it generally once a year. But having young children and pets around the house, you will need to clean your furniture, bedding, draperies more often than that. Food and ink stains, accidental spills, pet urine, odors and stubborn dirt is just some of the problems not only at home, but also in hotels or other hospitality establishments. These cannot be avoided, but needs thorough cleaning. Scrubbing it away takes up more time and effort. It may sometime lead to ruining your upholstery, draperies, bedding, and furniture.

Therefore, using an upholstery steam cleaning is a brilliant idea because steam cleaners really work better than spending so much time on manually cleaning your upholstery. Fast and effective that will surely make your upholstery new, fresh and clean again.

We have all been there: Searching for that one item you just never can seem to find. Opening drawers and looking on the shelves (you are almost certain you saw it there yesterday). As you continue your search you think to yourself: I have to sort out this mess and organise it better. Yet again you never do it. Why? As human beings we cannot face the possibility of going through our own disorder or be more organised, because it is just such a big job. I mean where do I start, you haven’t even seen the loft yet.

Getting started on your “De-cluttering” project is the hardest part, you will be surprised to find how easy it is and once you have taken that first initial step, you just want to continue and not stop until you are satisfied with the job at hand. So start with something small. Open you cutlery drawer and scan through all the items, we all have those wonky utensils in the back that are long due for the bin and all these other small things, what are they actually used for anyway? Get it all out and start again. Arrange them in the order of the items you use the most in the front of the drawer and work your way back.

Good now you have the swing of it, let us move to the cupboard with all the cleaning products. Again start by arranging all the products which are used the most in the front and work your way to the back of the cupboard. You will be amazed by the amount of space you have actually available.

Before you know it you have done a lot of de-cluttering in the kitchen, now that is a satisfying feeling. You can use the same technique throughout your whole property, one room at a time.

Make use of little boxes in cupboards and magazine holders to organise items and keep them together. Boxes that stack up on top of each other are very handy and if you want to store clothes, use deflating storage bags.

Once you have de-cluttered, you will find that it is much easier organising what you have left.

Good Luck and Enjoy…

Clutter can get everywhere if you don’t control it. It’s important to put in place some rules to help clear clutter in your home and help you keep your house a place where you love to spend time in, and love to invite others to.

Here a three great ideas to help you clear your clutter.

A great way of getting rid of clutter is to really question yourself philosophically with some scenarios that help you think about what is important to you. For example, if my house was on fire, and i had 5 minutes to run around and gather the important items to me, what are the items that i would take with me? Or, if I had to move house and only had one car and one journey to take my possessions to my new home, what would i take with me? These are some great questions to help you discover what you consider important in your home and what maybe isn’t as important as you thought.

Another great idea to help clear your clutter out of your home is for every time you introduce an item to your household, something has to go. For example, say you buy a new lamp for your bookcase. If it’s replacing an old lamp, chuck the old lamp out. Don’t keep it, take it to the garbage dump or donate it somewhere. Don’t leave it in your garage to fester. Or how about, for every one thing that comes into your household, dump two things in order to speed things up in the whole de-cluttering process. For example, a new lamp might mean chucking out the old lamp and the old replacement lampshade that’s been sitting on the top shelf of your storage for years.

How about going through all your items in your household and making a decision to either retain the item, sell it, give it away, recycle the item, or simply throw it in the trash. This can help simplify your decision making process, as it can be hard to know what to do with some items. A way to help this is to have a time frame for items. I have a friend who does not keep anything he hasn’t used for more than six months. He just simply goes through his household items every half year and gives each item either one of those five tags. If he decides to keep the item, there’s a good reason to keep it and he has a home for that item. If he gets rid of an item, he does so in the most appropriate way. Now I know this is an extreme example, but it’s a helpful starting point to help clear your clutter effectively.

Finally, as mentioned before, have a home for every item in your home and be strict with yourself about maintaining this rule to help clear your clutter. Make sure that papers are filed away, books are put back on their book shelves, clothes are put back in their closets, and so on. The floor and work surfaces are no place to leave things so make sure they are clutter free by making sure they are free from things that have a home elsewhere.

Putting in a brand new carpet in your home or office can be very costly thus, to make it last longer, it’s just right to care for your carpet. Carpet cleaning includes what to do and what not to do, and avoiding damage instead of solving the damage that has been done. The subsequent will help you get more years from your carpet.

Regular Carpet Cleaning. Keeping your carpet clean always is the first thing to do. Regular carpet cleaning can dramatically add more years to your carpet. To remove dirt and grime, vacuum always and remove stains immediately.

Use Rugs. Put rugs outside and inside the front door and any other entrances to stop dirt from finding its way to your carpet. Mats catch much of the dirt on people’s shoes so that means less dirt on your carpet and longer carpet life.

Go Barefoot. Taking off your shoes and going barefooted or walking with your socks on will ensure that no outside dirt will get into your carpet. If you have a beautiful home with a nice carpet, visitors are generally alright with this and may even enjoy feeling the carpet under their feet.

Remove Stains Rapidly and Appropriately. Use the right cleaning solution for your type of carpet. Apply the cleaning solution to a white cloth then work it from the outside of the blemish to the inside, so that you don’t distribute the blemish. Rub on the product, wipe out the stain, rinse out the towel, wipe out the blemish, and repeat the process until you have totally gotten rid of the stain. After blotting, dry the carpet fast to avoid stuffing.

Make Use of a Shop-Vac. A shop-vac greatly helps when removing carpet stains. Since you don’t only remove the stain, but you can repeatedly wash and rinse that stain spot and remove the solution out every time, it’s more effective than blotting up the water with cloth.

Vacuum before Cleaning. Use hot water with your portable machine, and dry the carpet quickly using fans or opening the windows. Although this won’t get the same results with a hot water extraction machine, but you will save money and have your carpet cleaned to the best of your ability before calling a professional carpet cleaning company.

Extending the life of your carpet is as easy as following these basic carpet cleaning tips and techniques. But when the time comes that you need a professional, go to Woodland Hills carpet cleaning or Studio City carpet cleaning for quality, eco-friendly carpet cleaning services. Their carpet cleaners are well-trained that you only receive excellent workmanship and 100% satisfaction for sure at very inexpensive rates.

Go Green to Clean

There are a lot of cleaning products today that are full of harsh chemicals that are not only hazards to your health, but also unhealthy for the environment. In our efforts to tackle tough jobs around the house, we tend to focus on getting the job done no matter what the cost, and sometimes pass up green cleaning products. This can be for many different reasons, whether we want a quick fix with cleaners that battle stains with chemicals, or because some ‘green’ cleaning products are priced higher than other cleaners.

The problem is that many of these cleaning products are actually worse than their natural counterparts. For one thing, breathing in harsh chemicals can make you sick, and if you mix the wrong things together, like bleach with ammonia, the combination can actually kill you. What many people don’t know or realize is that there are actually many green cleaning products that can be found in the home already, or can be purchased rather cheaply.

For example, instead of using harsh cleaning products to revitalize your coffee pots, clean the coffee pot with simple white vinegar. Pour a pot full of vinegar into your maker and run it as you would when making your coffee. One run through and you will see how much has built up, and sometimes the vinegar that comes out can be as dark as your coffee would be. Once you have run a pot full through the first time, run a half pot of vinegar and water mixed through a second time. Then run just water through a couple of times to rinse it out.

Vinegar has a multitude of different green cleaning applications all around the home. It is an ideal cleaning product substitute for many things including window cleaning products, mold and mildew removers, as well as bathroom cleaners. Never use bleach for mold and mildew, all this does is remove it from the surface. Anyone who has used bleach for this knows that mold comes back, but why? Mold is a fungus that grows into the surface, and the only way to remove it permanently is to kill it with natural enzymes, like those found in vinegar.

Citric acid, like those found in lemon or orange juices, are also user and environmentally friendly cleaning products. Left to sit on tough stains, they can dissolve stains more easily than other harsh cleaners, and give off a nice pleasant scent. Another green cleaning agent that can be readily found in many households is baking soda. This natural abrasive is much safer for cleaning sink and counter tops, and also acts as a natural deodorizer. If you want to keep those odd smells out of your freezer or refrigerator, put a box of baking soda in, somewhere in the back where it can’t get knocked over and is out of the way. Make sure that you change the box every few months or so for optimal protection.

You can find out more information on cleaning products that are all natural and safe for the environment online at many different web sites. You can learn what products are safe for the environment, as well as different applications for vinegar, citric acid, baking soda, as well as many other common house hold items.

Do you have a hard time cleaning hard surfaces in your home, for example, the spaces between tiles? This is exactly why you need a portable hard surface steam cleaner.

You simply fill the product with water, let it heat up, run it along the surface you want clean, wipe it down with a dry cloth, and your surfaces are clean. This is definitely preferable to the large amount of time and effort you’ll spend scrubbing these surfaces with just your arm and some cleaning chemicals.

If you plan on cleaning your house you’ll need to carry around a selection of various cleaning chemicals and tools, unless you have a steam cleaner for hard surfaces, then you just need the tool and a cloth. It might seem like you wouldn’t be able to get your house clean with just water, but the hot steam is very effective and gets into places you’re unlikely to get to on your own.

There are a variety of accessories that hook onto the end of the product that make cleaning various surfaces a lot easier, for instance most come with a squeegee for mirrors, hoses, and detail brushes among other tools.

Not only is this effective and easy, but the lack of chemicals has other bonuses for you. while you’ll have to buy the product upfront, over time you’ll make your money back and then some since you won’t be spending your money on cleaning solutions. And since you aren’t pouring chemicals down the drain this is a more environmentally friendly option as well. If being both wallet and environmentally friendly wasn’t enough of a bonus you also don’t have to worry about abrasive chemicals ruining your nice surfaces like hardwood floors, beautiful tile work, or expensive appliances.

Hard surface steam cleaners are both easy on the surfaces you care about, and effective at cleaning hard to clean places. These appliances are easy to use, effective, and don’t use expensive and environmentally damaging chemicals to get the job done.
