How Does The Clip Ring Work? Here Is What Is Holding Your Drapes Firmly

One of the biggest advantages of installing drapes in your house is that it gives you a lot of options that you otherwise would not have had as far as decorating your house is concerned. You can go in for different color drapes and the appearance of your house would change.


You can go in for different mechanism or different setup and the way your drapes move and are fitted would also change. For example, instead of going in for round shaped rings to hold your drapes in place, you can go in for clips that are inserted into the gap in a channel.


Two metal plates are fitted and are locked. The end result is that there is just small gap through which the clip can pass. Once the clip is fitted inside the gap, it cannot be removed without breaking the same. This simple change is going to make your drapes look different.


Or, you can make changes to the point where the drape comes in contact with the clip. You can go in for metal spring clips instead of hooks. The curtain is altered with and strips are fitted where the hook will penetrate the same. By making use of clips, you can simplify the task of fitting the drapes. Once you have clips, it is just a question of opening the same and placing the cloth between the two jaws and closing the clip.


This means that you need not spend many hours stretching your hands over your head. You just have to lift the drape and open the clip and fit the same. Of course, you have to make sure that the rings are strong enough to hold the curtain in place. If you opt for very heavy drapes, there is a possibility that the cloth may come out of the clip and may hang in a very odd looking manner.


There also is a possibility that the spring fitted inside the clip may break or may come loose. This will render the entire set up futile. This problem does not exist with hooks fitted to the drape ring. Of course, there is no denying that the appearance of the clip fitted to the drape is going to be a much better one.


This is because you can go in for clips of the same color as the drape itself. This will be a difficult option if you are using hooks. This will become very simple option if you make use of clips.

Turn Your Bath Into An Escape

Is your bathroom no more than a room where you shower or bathe? Do you not give much thought to its appearance or how it can really be used? What about the bathroom as your own private refuge or sanctuary, a place where you can escape to? After a long hard day’s work, there’s nothing better than have a place where you can relax the stress away and rejuvenate your spirits.

There aren’t many places in your home where you can actually escape the rest of the family. Although you sometimes need time to yourself, young children often follow along right on your heels. Everyone needs and deserves a little time now and then to unwind. With a little atmosphere, the bathroom can be the perfect place to do this.

Get Rid of That Cold, Sterile Look
Sometimes bathrooms end up looking like, well, no more than just a bathroom. Is it decorated with nothing more than stainless-steel towel racks and toilet-paper holders—the works? Is everything in the room pretty basic and straightforward, with nothing too fancy? If this is your bathroom, then here’s where you need to start!

So how are you going to soften the look? First add some wrought-iron towel racks or white or pastel colored wood. Lavender, sea foam, or another soft, relaxing shade is perfect for the walls. For the floor, go with carpet or colorful ceramic tiles. If your linoleum is plain-looking and hardly noticeable, definitely consider updating your floors.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall
Look at your large bathroom mirror—does it look a little stark? If your mirror is just hanging there with nothing around it, then maybe it’s time to think about making a change. If you can, invest in a mirror trimmed with gold edges, or place wallpaper border around the one you have. Choose a border that contrasts with color of the walls. Or why not change the shape of the mirror completely? For instance, by adding an oval mirror you can create a romantic look.

Decorate the Tub
If you’re lucky enough to have a garden tub or one with wide edges, why not spruce it up? Greenery looks wonderful set around the edges. For instance, small ceramic pots filled with herbs and greenery will make your tub look especially inviting. Include some votive candles in the arrangement, and you are ready to soak in a bubble-filled tubs, letting the delicious scents of the candles float your worries away. Once you light a few candles and fill the tub, nothing is quite like bathing in the warm glow of candlelight.

Accents Pull It All Together
Pull your new bathroom together by adding a few accents. An oblong or square basket to hold a few bath towels makes the perfect touch. If the bathroom is big enough for a small table, you can always add one. Paint it a contrasting color and decorate it by stenciling flowers and greenery around the edges. Add some clear glass containers to hold cotton balls, Q-tips, and other items. You might also put your most attractive body splash and lotion bottles on display. Of course, there’s always room for more plants and more candles. Just make the room your own.

Bathing can be much more relaxing when you’re in an exquisitely beautiful room that smells heavenly. There’s no need to jump in the tub and jump right out again. 3. Do decide, before you start placing items, what you want the focal point of the room to be.

4. Dont block pathways in a room, as you want people to easily be able to move around.
There should always be natural pathways in a room. This makes the flow of the room feel natural and helps people to be comfortable.

6. Dont choose the color of the walls with only a paint chip.

You might also find that although you like a certain color in small areas, it doesnt really appeal to you when its painted on all the walls in the room.

For instance, place a contrasting piece of furniture against a wall. This will highlight the furniture and make it more interesting. You need to remember that the room doesnt all have to match. In fact, contrasting colors are a great way to decorate.

8. Dont overlook all the small details.
In addition to figuring out all those big items on your list, you also need to consider all those smaller aspects that really finish the look. Things like art pieces, candles, shelves, baskets, flowers, and figurines can all add that special touch. So dont leave these items out of your decorating plan.

9. Do forget about any negative opinions of your dcor.
You need to like the room and like being in it, thats all that really matters. You dont need to change anything, just because a guest didnt like it. Remember, this is your home and its your personality and taste that matter. So go ahead and get as creative as you wish.

10. Dont overcrowd the space in your rooms.
You dont have to display every object you own, nor do you need to include every piece of artwork that catches your eye. You dont want a cluttered look in your home. 10 Simple Ways to Improve Your Bedroom

Get rid of those late-night problems by remaking your bedroom into a safe, peaceful place to relax and sleep. Start with these 10 simple ideas:

1. Get the television out of the bedroom.
Move the television from your bedroom, and place it in an entertainment center in the family room or living room. Watching TV in bed inhibits good sleep.

2. It’s time to move the computer.
As with the television, it’s time to find a new home for your computer in a home office or at least in a corner in your family room or den. Remove the stress and worry of your work from the place where your focus should be relaxing and sleeping.

3. Remember to choose appropriate colors for your bedroom.
Color theory indicates that different hues have different effects on people. The cool colors that reside on the left side of the color wheel provide a sense of calm. Pick one of these colors for the bedroom, avoiding any of those bright, loud colors that are more exciting than soothing.

4. Eliminate excess noise.
Make sure that rooms adjacent to the bedroom are not home to stereos, televisions or other noisy electronics. Most modern homes aren’t built with soundproof walls, and the resulting noise that can penetrate your room can keep you up at night.

5. Don’t forget to block the light.
Select light-blocking window treatments. Even when there’s no sun, plenty of light from the outside can find its way into the bedroom, disturbing your sleep patterns. Keep your room as dark as possible, especially those of you whose work schedule necessitates sleeping during the day.

6. Add a little light.

Loud pipes might be waking everyone in the house when one person makes a bathroom visit in the middle of the night. Look for the cause of any clanging and banging, particularly in a bathroom that is adjacent to a bedroom.

8. Be sure to seal your windows and doors.
Keep drafts and annoying rattles out of the bedroom by making sure all your doors and windows are solid and secure.

9. Keep the air in your bedroom clean.
Place an air purifier or humidifier in your room to keep the air quality at its best. Allergens and excessively dry air can easily disrupt your sleep. They also make waking up extremely unpleasant. 10. Finally, it’s time to get organized.
Sort through your closets and find homes for your clothing and other personal items. A chaotic, messy room can be very stressful.
