1. Add an area rug to pull together the colors of the room.
Any rug you choose should be big enough to fit under the table and chairs, even when the chairs are pulled out. Dont get too big a rug, though. Some flooring should show between the area rug and the walls. Your best bet when measuring for an area rug is to measure the length and width of the table and then add on another four feet in all directions. 2. Add a centerpiece to your dining room table.
A simple way to add color to your dining room is with a flower arrangement. Try decorative candles to bring some light into the room. A glass bowl or vase with fruit will add more of an earthy touch.
